Our next ‘Drop-in’ on Tuesday 10th March will be a visit from HOWL (History of Women’s Liberation) https://howl-uk.org/ These women are from Hackney and collect women’s recollections of how the Women’s Liberation Movement affected their lives.
They will give a brief history of how HOWL came into being and their collective works. They will then explore the HOWL website with us, whilst outlining the aims of the group – more recording of women’s history, both through writing and orally! There will be time for either writing or reflecting on what could be included, either individually or jointly. We really hope that you can be part of this exciting new project!…..hope you can join us from 5.30-6.45 with drinks at the Dorset afterwards (optional) These ‘Drop-ins’ are always free and take place in The Community Area of the Jubilee Library.
At our April “Drop-in” (Tuesday 14th April) we will be welcoming Joyce Gould https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Joyce_Gould,_Baroness_Gould_of_Potternewton more details to follow….
