This Autumn, our Tuesday sessions are getting a theme. At each one, we’ll spotlight 2–3 women from our ongoing research and discuss their lives in more detail.
Our first session, Tuesday 8th September, focuses on three extraordinary doctors who made Brighton and Hove a place where women’s medical issues were taken seriously: Louisa Martindale, Helen Boyle, and the lesser-known Lilas Blackett Jeffries.
We’d love your company — and if you have any female medical connections in your own family history, we’d love to hear your stories too.
This will be our next drop-in at the Jubilee Library in the Community Area, running 5.30–6.45pm, with optional drinks afterwards round the corner at the friendly ‘Dorset’ on North Road. Newcomers welcome!
There will be no drop-in during August.
