BHWHG and Theatre Royal Brighton are delighted to announce the unveiling of a Blue Plaque honouring Ellen Nye Chart on Friday 26th June at 2pm, Theatre Royal, New Road, Brighton!

In 2025, BHWHG campaigned successfully in partnership with the Theatre Royal to secure a Blue Plaque in Ellen’s honour on the Theatre frontage. This will be unveiled on Friday 26th June 2026 at 2pm at the Theatre Royal, New Road, Brighton – the date falls on the 150th anniversary of the start of her management.
BHWHG will have a stall at the unveiling, with more information about our group, and books featuring our notable women series for sale. Do come along and say hello and have a chat! We look forward to seeing you!
