Our FREE October Drop-In on Tuesday 13th will continue to focus on some of the fascinating ‘creative women’ who have produced their work while living in this city. We shall present some short bios from our soon to be published new book. We will talk about 2 writers ; Enid Bagnold and Florence Marryat; the musician Molly Paley and the women’s society of musicians; and 2 artists Sylvia Sleigh and Gwynedd Hudson. Our September drop-in proved to be a great success and caused much discussion around the particular women we focused on. We hope the subjects we’ve chosen for this next drop- in will provoke the same kind of debates. We meet in Jubilee Library; start at 5.30 and finish at 6.45. Following the meeting we invite you to join us at the “The Dorset” pub, round the corner, for a drink and to carry on ‘the chat’. Hope to see you there.
