An amazing day for BHWHG! Valerie Mainstone, Debbie Waldon and Maria Hogg presented a petition to Brighton Council to ask for the Brighton Women’s Suffrage (WSPU) banner to be returned to Brighton from Manchester Museum, where it was presently displayed and stored. We presented a petition of nearly 500 signatures. Well done to all who worked hard to get this outcome and special thanks to Debbie who was instrumental in getting it through the early stages and who proposed the petition.
