We had a very successful talk at the Friends Meeting House this week as part of the Ageing Well Festival….Our topics included Midwives in Brighton and Hove during the late 19th early 20th century; Elizabeth Robins, well known actress, writer and suffragist, Margaret Hardy, the 1st female Mayor of Brighton and the fascinating history of the old house that was replaced by Hove Dene flats on Cromwell Road, Hove. Our audience were very responsive and lots of discussion went on well after the talks were over. Here are some photos:
